Still Heat No.16 is here and this time it's from Newcastle upon Tyne, UK based master of the moribund DROOPING FINGER.

Drooping Finger continues exploring experimental soundscape creation via manipulated field recordings and thrown away equipment. CD-Rs found in gutters meet guitar pedals saved from bins, vinyl and tape samples merge with broken synthesizer tones while modern bleepy devices collect metaphorical dust from old mixers. There's even a rumbling stomach in the mix, churning away like thunder on the track Convulsions.

Starting life as a way to showcase some individual parts used in 2020 live stream sets for the leading UK festival in experimental sounds and subversive art (TUSK) Extractions evolved to become a different record altogether. Only a couple of these original pieces remain, isolated or transformed in some way. The rest developed from lockdown experiments, revisiting old recordings while trying out new things and often combining the two.
